Qualifying a China supplier for an estimated 1,500-unit annual steel-tank programme.
1.5Kunits/year buyer estimate
An industrial buyer was moving a steel tank toward a live purchasing programme. ARBO coordinated the China-side path from repeat samples and drawing clarification into supplier registration, while keeping a separate moulded-reservoir track inside its pre-production boundary.
Buyer forecast
Estimated 1,500 steel tanks per year
Validation
2 repeat samples requested and delivered
Qualification
Buyer opened supplier-account onboarding
01 · Sample
The second steel-tank sample round had a clear paid scope.
The first sample batch had been provided without charge. For the second round, newly requested accessories, sample pricing, freight, forwarding and delivery tracking were separated and documented.
02 · Qualify
The supplier route advanced beyond a one-off sample order.
The buyer opened a formal supplier-account process covering company registration, banking, certification, insurance and purchasing-guide documents so commercial onboarding could move alongside technical validation.
03 · Separate
The moulded reservoir remained a distinct engineering track.
Drawing interfaces, part marking, tooling, sample timing, packing and testing responsibilities for the 0.5-litre reservoir were kept separate from the steel-tank result until confirmed.

Substantiated operating evidence
The buyer moved the supplier into formal qualification for a live programme.
Buyer correspondence recorded the two-sample request, the estimated annual demand and the supplier-account documentation needed to proceed. Those are stronger signals than an informal request for quotation.
Sample trail
The repeat steel samples were invoiced, dispatched, tracked and shown as signed for.
Technical questions
Drawing format, part references, interfaces, tooling and testing responsibilities were kept open until confirmed.
Packing logic
Carton quantity, pallet layout and non-stacking guidance were prepared for logistics evaluation.
Evidence boundary
Unknown production weights and final pack-out values stayed marked for confirmation after production testing.
Selected validation and supplier-qualification work. The 1,500-unit figure is the buyer's annual estimate, not a completed production quantity or guaranteed order.
